Summer Update from Ward Robinson
Betting on Tombola being
Sunderland's shining star
Ward Robinson was commissioned to project manage the build of Tombola’s new headquarters and working closely with architects, Ryder Architecture, the interior design team selected furniture and furnishings to reflect and complement the architectural spirit of the building.
Europe’s largest bingo company, Tombola, has moved adjacent to their previous headquarters at their riverside campus at Sunderland’s Wylam Wharf on the banks of the River Wear. Tombola House accommodates 160 staff over 25,000 sq. ft of office space.
The building has modern and technologically advanced open-plan offices wrapped around a three storey atrium. The carefully planned furniture help to fulfil Tombola’s aspirations to create opportunities for idea sharing, communication and more organic interactions within a stimulating environment.
The ground floor provides a reception area, meeting rooms, bistro and gym facility. The atrium contains an impressive stretch of bleacher seating leading up to the first floor, providing a dramatic space for presentations and events.
The count down is on...
Image features: Allermuir, Senator, Orangebox
The show was as busy and bustling as ever, with lots of interesting details and fresh inspiration for up and coming projects. The wellbeing aspect of design still shone through as a leading element, with biophilia and materials continuing as focal points for most manufacturers. Our personal highlights were Orangebox and Allermuir, with stunning showrooms and beautiful new product launches which we are already beginning to specify back at the office.
Our Ryder Alliance Partners
We are thrilled to welcome Meg and Emma from our Australian alliance partner, i2C Architects. From the Sydney and Brisbane studios, Meg and Emma will be joining our Newcastle Interior Design team for 6 weeks, assisting on our current live projects.
