Full refurbishment of Alnwick Castle Great Hall, part of Alnwick Castle Estate. The historical banqueting hall has a long history of entertaining and hospitality. Our design transformed the spectacular hall into a light, welcoming, stylish venue, sympathetic to its heritage.

Original architectural features such as the stone archways, minstrels’ gallery and carved beamed roof were enhanced with a stunning lighting scheme. We worked closely with specialist lighting designer, Michael Grubb Studio to deliver this.

The bar was relocated and given a new look and feel to blend in. Warm woods, lighting and pewter finished metalwork create a warm inviting feel, while allowing the bar to tie in perfectly with the original features of the Guest Hall.

The minstrels’ gallery was uncovered and revamped with sumptuous studded leather to show it off as a main feature above the bar, creating a balustrade that allows this space to be opened up for public use when events are held within the hall.
